Quite location

Liked: The Royal Oak is situated in a nice part of Dover. There is a small park near by. They also accommodated our small spaniel dog. The staff friendly.
Disliked: We hadn't appreciated that the food service wasn't available on a Monday evening until after booking. We didn't arrive until 8.30pm but the pub closed at 9pm, (although Sarah stayed until about 9.30pm, while cleaning) which was a shame as this had attracted our initial search. Probably sign of the times? Country pubs are struggling.

Liked: Excellent, well designed rooms with great facilities. Spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated, coffee machine in the room, good shower. EV charger in the car park was very handy! Very helpful and friendly staff and a good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Liked: We have stayed at the old oak now about four times.My Husband, our dog and myself stay overnight when we are going to France.Its very convienient to get to the port of Dover its a really good place to stay and the breakfasts are very good.
