Exceptional

Very nice place to stay,...

Liked: The location was superb! Right next to the river where we booked to go canoeing for my husbands 50th Birthday. We got there earlier than expected and breakfast had finished, but the Staff said we could have continental breakfast, toast, coffee, if it suited us. We were all hungry, so this was perfect. They were very friendly and accommodating, the service at the hotel was exceptional. After canoeing, we got back to the hotel and changed for dinner. The menu was plentiful and the food was delicious and again the service and staff were brilliant.
Disliked: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Liked: Great location beautiful surroundings and great price hotel staff was l oh very and room was ready hours before check in which was bonus food was amazing
Disliked: The tap in room did not allow cold water and would not work also there was some cobwebs around the room but won’t complain as the price and location and hotel was a great standard

Liked: The setting is exceptional, and to wake up with an unobstructed view of the Wye River was an absolute joy.We had a very friendly welcome from the delightful receptionist.
Disliked: We didn't feel that it had kept up with styles over the years. It really needs to be redecorated and updated, especially the shower room which was the smallest we have ever experienced.Food prices were much too high. £25 for pie and mash, or £15 for breakfast aren't in line with what we have come to expect at all the other hotels we stay at. Having read the other reviews, and learning that the TV is kept on throughout meal service, we decided not to eat there.

Disliked: room could be improved with modern tv, furniture arranged differently. full en-suite (not separate wash basin). Shower room very small.
