A place to sleep but...

Liked: Big room, hot shower, comfortable bed, tv works, dining table & 2 chairs.
Disliked: No shelves in refrigerator, broken tiles in bathroom floor, cigarette burns on tub rim, heavily worn cabinet. Overall poor condition inside the room.

Overpriced for the amenities offered,

Liked: Convenient location.
Disliked: Beer bottles left in dresser drawer; took a while for hot water to come on in sink; some hairs in the bedsheets.

Liked: It’s a basic hotel but it does the job. We just needed to stay one night, and this hotel is not expensive, it’s clean and the staff is nice.
Disliked: The smell of the room. We were not sure if it was because somebody had smoked there before our arrival or that the room simply needed to be aired but it was unpleasant.

I had no where to...

Liked: I booked a non -smoking king room for myself. I received an email from booking.com that my request had been received and that they could accommodate me.
Disliked: Upon arrival, the slovenly attired manager informed me that my room would have to be a smoking room, as all the other kings were booked. I showed her my confirmation email, and she said that it was no guarantee that I would get a non- smoking room. She said Booking. com had no power to assign rooms. As I was speaking with her, another woman customer came in to the desk with the same complaint that her so - called non- smoking room smelled strongly of smoke, and the manager replied exactly the same way to her. The manager then offered to let me stay in a non- smoking double room for @ $50 more than the price for my king room. I didn't have that in my budget, and asked if that was the best they could do for me. They said that's all they could do, and if I needed any more help, I should contact Booking. com.
