Ideal for a short break...

Liked: Classic old hotel, with great history & location opposite the station.Friendly helpful staff.
Disliked: Slightly shabby, could do with a minor facelift in due course, but would want to keep the classic comfortable feel of this lovely building.

Pleasant

Disliked: The bar closed very early meaning later customers arriving back from eating out wer excluded from a nighcap. There were many unhappy guests. There were still three of us in the bar when the barman decided to shut up shop. He was quite rude to a guest who came in just after the bus was closed (it was before 10pm).

Clean and comfy bed but...

Liked: Beautiful building and location. Friendly helpful staff
Disliked: Very old building, which in itself is fine but our taps were so old they were hard to turn on and off and the floor boards were sooooooo creaky. Hot water for a bath ran out half way through.
