Very enjoyable short stay in...

Liked: Room, location, food (breakfast and dinner). All up to standard and enjoyable.
Disliked: The only issue we had was finding parking and problems with the ringo app.

Liked: The hotels location is amazing!! The hotel is so charming, you feel like you stepped back in time. And the staff, just outstanding. Everybody wanted to make our stay fantastic - and it worked out!! We would come back in a heartbeat
Disliked: The rooms are a little bit outdated and could need some TLC, but maybe that’s the Charme of the hotel.

Liked: This is the third time I have stayed at the Royal and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Our room (the Merton) was clean and spacious with a sea view and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely with a great choice of both hot and cold options. The staff were professional and friendly and the location was perfect. Everything you could ask for in a seaside hotel!

Disliked: The balcony area by out windows was dirty with a rotten bird that had been there for months and the windows didn’t open and close well.

Disliked: Everything elseThe hotel was unloved and unkept. The room smelt horrid. There was old paint coming off of the walls. The bathroom was so old and disgusting. Spent ages trying to fiddle around with the taps to get the water temperature right. There was a hole in the duvet cover. The duvet was so thick so we could sleep with it on as there was no fan or way of circulating the air. When we went for breakfast, staff were dressed like they should be on the beach. The food came out and the scrambled egg looked green/silvery.

Disliked: The place was dirty ,the room was awful rattling windows.Poor facilities in the room and the breakfast was ghastly the only edible thing was the cereal which was in a box.

Beautiful location

Liked: Location great. Rooms good size just no fans or vents very hot. Good terrace
Disliked: Hot rooms and bags not locked up when left.
