Clean and comfortable hotel in...

Liked: Fantastic location, easily reached from the airport or the city via buses and the L2. Lovely easy walk to Coogee Beach.The hotel is bright and clean with bars and a restaurant. Pleasant staff.Didn't try the food, but I recommend the hugely popular café and bakery by the L2 stop, Despite a few negative points, I highly recommend this hotel. We will be back.
Disliked: We had 2 rooms, one on the first floor of the main building, which was fine. The second room(311?) on the ground floor in the annex wasn't great. Small and dark due to small window facing internal courtyard, it was nevertheless very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very noisy AC and fridge which I had to turn off. Unable to change rooms as hotel was fully booked. Water pressure in the shower is not great, and I didn't like the small plastic tubes for shampoo .... Time to start using more environmentally friendly alternatives.There was also the issue with the total lack of freeview channels in the small ground floor room (only 3 sky sports channels available). On the other hand, the double room on the first floor had only freeview but no Skysports. Advised reception of this problem when I checked out.

Staff were excellent, comfort was...

Liked: Staff were excellent, room was comfortable.
Disliked: As an elderly person I found that entering/exiting my room was a marathon..The stairs, the long hallways with even more stairs to access the room were like a maze.

Overall great place to stay...

Liked: Lots of cafes around. Close to the tram Coogee beach just minutes away. Very close to the hospital
Disliked: Unfortunately we did not enjoy the meal in the restaurant very expensive. The steaks were very dry and a bit tough.
