We had a wonderful stay...

Liked: The breakfast was wonderfully delicious and varied. We appreciated the homemade snacks, fruits, and coffee machine available all day. The desk staff were charming, personable, and very helpful. They made us feel completely at home.
Disliked: The shower in our room could have used a curtain to keep water from wetting the bathroom floor. And a few more hooks and shelves for toiletries, and to hang damp towels.

Liked: Basic but bright, white and clean bedroom, good hairdryer. (USB points would have been good). My room had tall traditional windows and overlooked the street - there was a bit of noise from the bar opposite and, as often happens in Europe, an absolute din from the street sweepers and workmen but this is hardly the hotel’s fault but be mindful if you need a lot of sleep. My modern bathroom had been shoe-horned in along part of one wall and you had to side step along a 40cm narrow space into a barely 50cm square minuscule area where the shower head was. So small I had to step out to the basin to move my arms to wash myself or bend over. The staff is lovely and there is a really nice touch of free water and snacks throughout the day. On one morning the person on the desk had front desk and breakfast to do at the same time and many things ran out. I was surprised there wasn’t even any local bread on offer or hot food. The jams, like most places, were cheaper wholesale type and didn’t have any flavour. The croissants & pain au chocolat were good. Overall, a pleasant and welcoming hotel I would use again (but specify a room with a normal sized shower). Walkable into centre and all access to transport. Welcoming lounge area downstairs.
Disliked: The breakfast offerings and the shower size as well as no USB points.

Liked: Good location, good sized room and comfy bed
Disliked: The wet room is just a death trap and without putting towels down to soak up some water there’s no way to safely get to the toilet. Skirting boards in the bedroom all need a good clean.

Lovely period hotel

Liked: Lovely period hotel, comfortable rooms, high quality mattress, powerful shower, free sift drinks, tea and home baked cakes, sumptuous home made breakfast with eggs, friendly attentive staff. Highly recommend
