Hotel has great potential ,...

Liked: Great location , easy parking.
Disliked: Rooms were very tired, major repair and decorating going on in the hotel . Staff were friendly but quite distant , didn’t seem to be very professional at times. Room was freezing cold heating in room was not working, we were given a portable heater to use which wasn’t perfect but took the chill off the room .

Very good

Liked: The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy food was delicious
Disliked: No one was at reception on arrival. No clear signs of where rooms were and the decor looked a bit tired. The room smelled musty

A hotel in Wales where...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: It was freezing the whole time we were there - none of the heaters worked, neither did the portable fan we were given. Our clothes were soaked from rain on the first day and we could not dry them. We were told there was a dryer where they could be dried overnight but in the morning everything was still soaking wet. Ruined our next day as we had nothing to wear! :-( And breakfast was painfully slow (40 minutes to get some eggs and porridge). Very disappointing.

Dispoinment at its best. !!

Liked: The hotel staff was really friendly and polite and attended to needs. Everyone had a smile on their faces.
Disliked: No heating at all in the hotel. Was informed it would be automatic switch on. Witch was a lie as the heating was broken. Given heaters after complaining. Witch had an electrical safety test sticker witch dated Jun 2011. being in the electrical field myself.I was not taking any chances using. We were a group of 3 and we all had to sleep in fully clothed. Pull cord in bathroom the celing rose was exposed leaving live cables touchable. Double socket on wall not screwed in was again dangerous. General decor of room was poor and dried paint all over bathroom floor. Workmen working on the floor we was on it was basically a building site with building materials and pots of paint in downstairs toilet rubble on sides and mould on every wall. This was by far the worst experience in a hotel and I would advise any persons of an early age. Or younger not to stay here at all due to health concerns HSE would have a shock if they went to this hotel as we did as paying £285 for 2 nights. Toatlly unexpected and wish my money would of been spent better off. Friendly staff but the hotel in its current form is no were near up to standards for paying guests. Dog friendly hotel. But I wouldn't of brought my dog here. Please be aware of this hotel before making any decision to book to avoid disappointment.

Needs updating Great

Liked: Friendly staff, food was OK.
Disliked: No heating in the room, it was freezing until we were given a plug in oil heater that smelt and kept tripping our rooms electric, it also hadn't been tested since 2020. Not enough selection of beer no beer on tap, food was OK first night we ordered the special chicken on the bone curry, it had no veg and only half a poppadom each, we also ordered onion rings that never turned up. Coffee for breakfast was strange and disgusting.

Won’t stay again

Liked: Staff were friendly enough breakfast was nice
Disliked: There was no heating in both our rooms they gave us a electric heater said it had been pac tested but my sons are electrical engineers and read that the last time it was pac tested was 2011 I slept in my pjs bed socks jumper and also bought a hot water bottle so glad I did now. 281.00 for 2 nights that’s a lot of money to be freezing

Lots of potential

Liked: Staff were very helpful and friendly. Warm welcome.
Disliked: In need of modernisation. We needed a Base for a multi-leg run so it sufficed. I would have been disappointed if it were for a holiday experience.
