Beautiful location

Liked: The location was beautiful in a little quaint village next to relaxing peaceful woods
Disliked: The breakfast was poor in that if you arrived towards the end of the breakfast time there was nothing left and the baskets and bowls were not topped up. Very disappointing. No option but to pay for a full English.

Pleasant

Liked: The location
Disliked: Dated bedroom and bathroom. Grumpy. agited and poor appearance of male reception staff. I said that when zI booked the last room on booking .com it was a garden room. We were given a room upstairs that was very dated. I had only booked the hotel because it showed the garden room. Spoke to the male receptionist and he said all garden rooms were gone. I feel this was misrepresentation by booking.com. We also asked what time dinner was being served until, and he said 8:45 pm. We went to the bar at 7:00pm the male receptionist was now in the bar we asked for menu's to see what we wanted to eat.He informed us the kitchen was closing in 10 .minutes. What if we had still been in our room we would not have known that yhe kitchen was closed. Other guests missed out on dinner. This information should have been communicated to guests.

A relaxing peaceful rest

Liked: I liked the cleanliness and spacious feeling of the hotel. The food was great although at breakfast the sausages were very difficult to cut into and chew. I also loved how tranquil and quiet at night it was.
Disliked: I would have liked for more of the staff to be helpful and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and there was only 2 members of staff who had a smile and spoke to us and were helpful.

Great location, food and accommodation...

Liked: Great location, plentiful parking. Nice bar, restaurant and outside seating / dining areas. Menu options plentiful and food good for breakfast and dinner. Good live music in bar on Saturday night.
Disliked: One member of reception class was clueless about non-feather (hypo-allergenic bedding) saying that he didn't think that the hotel had any: when we got to our room all bedding turned out to be hypo-allergenic. Another member of staff was extremely rude, abrupt and unhelpful to 2 of our party.Waits at dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday were excessively long - it was clear that the one member of staff serving was overwhelmed. The impression was of understaffing in kitchen and amongst waiting staff in the dining areas. Despite being overstretched the waiting staff remained friendly and helpful.
