This former coaching inn is now a comfortable modern hotel offering en suite accommodations free on-site parking and free wireless internet access in the public areas. Dunkeld is located in some of the area's most beautiful countryside and the Royal Dunkeld Hotel makes a great base from which to explore the region. All rooms have en-suite shower rooms TVs radios tea/coffee making facilities hairdryers trouser presses and telephones. The Woodlands Bistro offers an innovative menu which changes daily to reflect the finest freshest seasonal produce available locally. There is an extensive wine list and a wide range of liqueurs and whiskeys to complement your meal. The Woodlands Bar has a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere and offers an extensive lunch and supper menu. The traditional 1809 bar has an open fireplace and a pool room with a dartboard. The building does not have a elevator and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Very Very disappointng, esepcially with...

Liked: It is set in a beautiful location.
Disliked: The bathroom was covered in mold and the shower head was filthy, the fixtures and fittings were of very poor standard, There was only one light working (out of 3) in the bathroom with no fan. There were 2 soap/shampp containers - one was broken and the other was empty. The towels had holes in them. The remote for the TV didn't work (we asked for new batteries but no one could help) this meant no TV. The coffee maker didn't work either. Outside the room, the window pane was broken and there was lots of "stuff" lying in the corridor which is a fire hazard. The carpet on the main stair was torn and a serious fall hazard.

A very very over priced...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Everything - this was classed as an annexe this was a wooden hut out the back of the hotel. The entrance was at the back of the hut facing the woods, which could have been very off putting had this been females on their own.It was dirty, unhygienic and to be honest should be taken down as the wallpaper was hanging off the wall, the curtains were hanging off the rail and I actually debated sleeping in my car for fear of catching something from the very small box we were in.

Disappointing

Liked: The waitress in breakfast room
Disliked: At reception, we were informed that reception would close at 18:00, and after 23:00 (when bar closes), if any emergency occurs, “you are at your own”. Scheduled breakfast at 7:00, but only 7:40 someone was there to start breakfast. Not so good experience.

Comfort, excellent. Location was great...

Liked: after an initial small problem the manager was excellent in resolving this
Disliked: nothing needs to be changed. As I previously stated the staff could not have been more accommodating

Very good

Liked: Lovely hotel and staff were absolutely fantastic, rooms were spotlessly clean and location was perfect!
Disliked: Tv in room did not work which was annoying and couldn’t get a drink at bar past 11pm which was disappointing

Liked: Welcome from staff.
Disliked: Overall furnishings and decor. Stair carpet was badly worn and torn in places.
