This former coaching inn is now a comfortable modern hotel offering en suite accommodations free on-site parking and free wireless internet access in the public areas. Dunkeld is located in some of the area's most beautiful countryside and the Royal Dunkeld Hotel makes a great base from which to explore the region. All rooms have en-suite shower rooms TVs radios tea/coffee making facilities hairdryers trouser presses and telephones. The Woodlands Bistro offers an innovative menu which changes daily to reflect the finest freshest seasonal produce available locally. There is an extensive wine list and a wide range of liqueurs and whiskeys to complement your meal. The Woodlands Bar has a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere and offers an extensive lunch and supper menu. The traditional 1809 bar has an open fireplace and a pool room with a dartboard. The building does not have a elevator and may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

It was a convenient and...

Liked: It is in a great locationThere was tea and coffee and biscuits in the room.The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was not too expensive.
Disliked: It is a bit tired . The bathrooms are old and not spotless. There was no shower gel in the dispenser. One of our party had an uncomfortable nights sleep because of springs in the mattress. It was quite noisy with creaky floorboards from people walking in the corridors. The curtains in the bedroom didn’t fit or close properly. The bedside lamp did not work.

Honest but happy

Liked: Bed was comfy , staff had smiles when around and very close to everything .
Disliked: General building is falling apart to a degree with a bathrrom cupboarddoor fallen off, slightly unclean and there happened to be tainted apple juice jug at breakfast but it's a hard economy these days .

Won’t go back & definitely...

Liked: The location was good
Disliked: The rooms were small & shabby Windows dirty Marks on wall & paint peeling offVery thin & squeaky mattress Bed sheets & towels had marks all over them had to sleep on top of quilt due to marks on bottom sheet Then drinks in bar were watered down not branded makes & overly priced paid £30 for 4 drinks & bar tender was very rude when I questioned him on the issue
