Even for Exemouth this is...
Liked: being able to order uber eats to deliver food because there is no dining option.
Disliked: Breakfast. It will kill you. Lack of parking. The hotel is dead and smells of death. The management owning company doesn't care about it. Three people are working their socks off doing everything. It's like Faulty Towers with a bit of attitude. Scruffy, shabby interiors. Rooms feel like corpses have been left in them. seems to me that this is an investment that the owners are hoping to sell one day but in the meantime, they are trying to offset some of the expenses.

Enjoyed it - would happily...
Liked: Staff were very good, room was excellent and it was close to the beach front.
Disliked: For some reason the wifi wasn't working in the room - despite it being a strong signal. The nearest EE mast seemed to be in a different county, so getting a 4G/5G alternative was nigh on impossible.....

Good
Liked: Staff were lovely and friendly. Very accommodating given that we booked at very short notice after another booking at a different hotel had been unexpectedly cancelled.
Disliked: Was a little noisy as everytime other guests left their rooms or opened the door to the stairs opposite our door, it rattled our door. Was also a bit stuffy in the room but was very hot outside so to be expected. We had booked a budget room as was short notice and it was peak season so was more than we could have expected in the circumstances.

Fine if you know what...
Liked: Fabulous location, a few minutes walk from the seafront via steps right opposite the hotel. 5 minutes walk to the town centre with eateries, shops, bars. My room was large, clean and comfortable (Courtyard Room 402). Comfortable bed, nice pillows. Clean linen and towels. Instant coffee, tea bags, kettle etc. TV. WiFi signal was good during my stay. Staff friendly but I think a little over-worked! Breakfast basic, but reasonable, and cooked options available. I was able to park on the road outside the hotel (free parking).Based on online reviews I was really worried about staying here, but it was absolutely fine, depending on your expectation. It is a slightly tired, past-its-heyday hotel, a bit rough round the edges but perfectly acceptable for the price. It’s not a destination hotel, it’s a place to stay.
Disliked: Shower wasn’t great - only part of it worked and not easy to control the temperature. Bar had limited drinks and no atmosphere at all.The outside of the hotel is tatty.
