Danci, visiting Ace of Spades Sacramento

I will never stay there again. It was absolutely gross!

Liked: The IHOP in the parking lot.
Disliked: All of it. Our room was so filthy I didn't want to touch anything. The lights did not work. The heater clinked all night but that toned out the domestic disturbance happening all night in the hall.

Interesting stay

Liked: The proximity to Sutter Medical was ideal for us.
Disliked: The room at first glance was nice. Unfortunately, we discovered the sheets were incredibly scratchy and worn, the toilet paper dispenser was so close to the toilet that when you sat it scratched you due to a sharp shelf attachment. There were a number of homeless folks meandering throughout the parking area. This didn't bother us except for being woken numerous times in the night by yelling and door slamming.

Fine for overnight and will...

Liked: My room was in an indoor corridor. The room was simple, spacious, and what I needed for the night. The breakfast was not bad, although it had fairly limited choices; however, there is an IHOP next door. The parking was a little challenging.
Disliked: Not much. It met my needs, and the staff was excellent.

Very poor

Liked: The location near the hospital was what we needed.
Disliked: Trash everywhere, stairwells that smelled of urine, shabby rooms, off kilter toilet. It is a total dump, but the location was great for family needing to be near the hospital & parking secure, despite the questionable people loitering around. The bed was also comfortable.

Not your money’s worth, but...

Liked: I like the modern look of the place and how big the rooms are, the AC worked well too. Plus I appreciated there being security in the parking lot at night.
Disliked: all night there was loud water splashing from inside the ceiling (probably plumbing leak), the toilet takes a century to flush, and the water pressure in the shower was minimal, and these are all totally forgivable things no question, but for $252 for two nights with a $80 security deposit is INSANE. This place just looks like a renovated Motel 6, it really ain’t bad! But that price is brutal for what you’re getting

The rudest front desk lady...

Liked: Worked for the few nights
Disliked: The rudest front desk lady I have ever encountered. We literally got locked inside our room because the handle was having issues only to call and have her insist that it’s working like I was making it up. Then my boyfriend was able to screw it back in so I called back to tell her and before I got a word in she screamed through the phone that she was busy and that I would have to wait. the housekeeper also never came once in the 2 days. This was a horrible experience. That lady should not work in customer service.

Liked: Comfortable bed
Disliked: Toilets are broken, I can tell the rooms aren't clean enough due to hair on the floors and in the shower.

Worst experience ever! 1 is...

Liked: Upon entering, the room appeared clean at first. Location was perfect for the reason for our visit.
Disliked: The toilet was clogged upon arrival. When we told the front desk, they sent the front desk clerk with a plunger. She repeatedly said the F word as she worked on the toilet, then washed the plunger in the SINK with her hands, walked out of the bathroom and said that she left the plunger so we could fix it ourselves if it didn't flush, then shook her wet hands over the top of my open suitcase. We stayed 3 horrible nights and our room was not cleaned once. On night 2, I moved the blanket to find a lollipop from a previous guest stuck to the blanket. The air conditioner shut itself off every couple hours. The staff allowed homeless to have breakfast in the cafe. The man who was there on day 2 kept talking loudly to himself, bowing to an Asian couple, talking about how they were royalty, then saluting an older man, saying "Hail Hitler." Our final night we arrived back late. The only available parking left that would fit my SUV was right next to 5 men doing drugs. When I asked the front desk to find me alternative parking, he argued about how I needed to just park my car there because it would be fine.
