Liked: Wonderful hotel located in one of the most beautiful and quiet areas on the outskirts of Dublin. Our triple room was not large but tastefully furnished, clean, and functional. From the room, we had access to a lovely courtyard with a fountain. Special thanks to all the staff, especially the very friendly Sol R. at reception, always ready to help with any requests. Thank you for everything, you're the best!

Amazing value for money

Liked: We were very lucky to get the coach house at an amazing price. It’s away from the main property and only one neighbour. It was spacious and like a little air b n b

Smelly drain and dangerous door...

Liked: The room was prettily furnished, nice carpet, a small desk with chair, bed was comfortable. Bathroom also nice-looking, with a shelf with plenty of room for toiletries. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and plentiful.
Disliked: The drain for the shower was directly behind the door into the bathroom. That meant it was less than a metre from the bed. The drain must not clear properly and it was smelly. I didn't realise where the smell was coming from until the morning. I could have asked to move rooms but by then I'd unpacked everything and I was only staying one more night. But it disturbed my sleep and was just a bit gross. Although it's summer the heater was on in the room. I asked if it could be turned off but that wasn't possible so the staff member turned the air con on instead. I turned it off before going to sleep and opened the window, but was woken by the air con coming on at 6.30 am. It must have been on a timer which I succeeded in turning off. The worst thing though was that the bathroom door has an automatic closer which closes the door with a lot of force. The first night I got my hand caught in it and my fingers were badly bruised, and still are, three days later. Why it was considered necessary to put an automatic closer on a bathroom door in a small bathroom in a small bedroom who knows, but it is dangerous and could easily break someone's hand. My low overall rating is because of the position of the drain and smell, which would be obvious as soon as the cleaner opened the door, and because of the bathroom door closure.

City break

Liked: The hotel is in a great location within a short walk to Merrion Square. Comfortable room and ensuite well maintained with air-conditioning. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was available. Bus stop outside the front gate.
Disliked: Very limited parking available and we found paid parking on side roads until 7pm and free on Sundays
