Liked: Never had breakfast
Disliked: Full of cobwebs with dead dried up insects in the web full of dust in the room

Liked: Caroline was absolutely lovely and accommodating. The house is is gorgeous and the beds were incredibly comfy. We slept like no tomorrow
Disliked: There wasn't anything we didn't like. If you aren't an early bird like us you might find breakfast a little early.

Liked: Good breakfast, but limited choice. Beautiful old house.
Disliked: Needs some money spending on it - bedding frayed and needs replacing. Shared bathroom/toilet facilities poor.

A very enjoyable stay!

Liked: I enjoyed the style of the house and its rooms. I enjoyed the fact that I could leave my car parked there all day (Thank you for that) and I especially enjoyed the nice little chat with Caroline at breakfast which she made gluten free for me. A big thank you from me!

Would definitely recommend. The host...

Liked: Ideal location for where we needed to be.Lovely clean large room with the usual facilities. Our room didn’t have en suite which would’ve preferred but we had our private bathroom on the corridor.Easy access to property late evening.Breakfast was great , cooked option and also cereals etc. if we wanted. Iron also available if we wanted.

A clean and hospitable property...

Liked: It had character and was clean and Caroline cooked a great breakfast.
Disliked: Initially there were no instructions on where to park so I parked about 800 yards away. On meeting fellow residents they advised I could use the Nursery Car Park next door or the Rothmans section at the upper end of that car park. The door codes are necessary but quite fiddly to use and difficult to see the code numbers in poor lighting. Sadly having a shower the water ran onto the bathroom floor as the plastic shower door fitting did not fit snug to the bath edge.

Not for us.

Liked: Old building, shared with a nursery/child care. Did not expect to arrive and find a load of little ones running around in the garden. Coded entry to door and rooms. Old building so creaky floorboards are all part of the ‘ambience’. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: Separate ‘private’ bathroom/wc but it meant crossing a large landing from room. Managed by one and she was unable to prepare cooked breakfast, but we are assured of a refund for that. Garden and building need some TLC.

The place is charming and...

Liked: The place was beautifully presented and everything was very well organised. We really loved the 'common room' (which was as cosy as your own living room) with tv and tea/coffee too! The lady that served us the excellent breakfast next morning really made the visit for us, greeting us with a lovely smile and cheerful conversation, and helpful local knowledge!
Disliked: Having the toilet down the hall made it a bit of a mission for the old nighttime wee, but that's just the way the building is..
