Rosen Inn Closest To Universal

Liked: Nice room.
Disliked: The distance to an ice machine. Directions were poor at best. The buffet breakfast was horrible. Food was not even warm and it cost $13.95 plus a service fee!

Meh -- not a bad...

Liked: Location was good. We appreciated the guarded and gated entrance as well.
Disliked: The beds were too soft and not at all supportive. There daily wellness checks if we had our "Do Not Disturb" sign up for "too long." Some context for this, when we travel for short spurts of time (1-3 nights) we will leave the DND signage up because we are staying for such a short time and won't require any housekeeping services, plus we would rather not waste the water on sheets or towels laundry for such a short stay. This extended use of the DND sign apparently triggers a "wellness check" at around 5 pm. We were told by other that this isn't uncommon practice for the area (This was the first time we have ever had this experience ever, it was bizarre). We originally booked 3 nights, but decided to just go home after 2 nights. I wouldn't stay here again. It wasn't a bad experience, per se, just not a positive one.

Liked: Close to universal studio and the shuttle to epic
Disliked: Corridor lights too dark. Carpet smell bad. Paint washroom peeling off. They first gave us to a room with clogged shower drain. But when we complain they immediately move us to other room. They even charge us for early check-in eventhough we have pre notice. Meaning lots of room available when we arrive BUT STILL CHARGE FOR EARLY CHECK-IN.

3 star, but mighty!

Liked: Staff was VERY friendly and found us the couple things we forgot. Beds were comphy, sheets & towels were clean and fresh. Kids lived the pool area. This hotel had everything we needed; food on-site, convenience.
Disliked: It's not necessarily a dislike, the hotel was rated at the 3 star level. I would say it was accurate. Given it's location to Universal, and price for the stay, it was an excellent value.

Disliked: Nothing really

Well worth the value of...

Liked: Room service cleaned our room very well every day.
Disliked: There was a piece of tape on one of the slices of bacon on my plate.

Liked: For its price, it location is really good!, free parking, and it was a stroll away from Chili’s.
Disliked: The inside is quite dated, and rough around the edges. It looked like we had a balcony but when we got in our room the door had been sealed shut for some reason..?
