The Spotlight on Rose Manor Bed & Breakfast

Charming Lakefront Comfort Close to the Music

Rose Manor Bed & Breakfast brings classic Southern charm to your New Orleans stay. Located along the scenic lakefront, this peaceful B&B is just over five miles from major concert venues downtown, offering a relaxing retreat after a night out. With vintage-style decor, friendly hosts, and thoughtful touches, it's a cozy home base for music fans looking to escape the crowds.

Each room features a flat-screen cable TV, private bathroom, and a work desk for those squeezing in a little remote work before showtime. Free WiFi and free parking add even more value to your stay.

Why Concert-goers love it

Fans love that Rose Manor is just a 15-minute drive from high-energy venues like the Superdome and the French Quarter, but far enough away to offer a quiet place to recharge. The free parking is a huge plus for those renting a car, and the relaxed check-in from 3:00 PM gives you time to settle in before the evening starts. The laid-back vibe and comfortable shared lounge make it easy to unwind post-show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a relaxing base with shared spaces
  • Solo travelers wanting a safe, quiet getaway after a big concert
  • Couples planning a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans who want to sleep soundly after a loud night
  • Budget-conscious music lovers seeking free parking and WiFi

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the surrounding Lakeview neighborhood offers plenty of walkable dining spots for a late bite before or after the show. Guests rave about nearby cafés and diners perfect for grabbing breakfast after a late night. The hosts are also happy to recommend local favorites.

Nightlife Options

If you’re up for more after the encore, you’re just a short ride from the French Quarter's buzzing bars and lounges. Prefer to keep it mellow? The hotel’s patio and shared lounge offer a cozy spot to sip a nightcap and relive the concert highlights.

What People Say

Reviews consistently praise the friendly hosts, impeccable cleanliness, and homey atmosphere. Many guests describe it as a “hidden gem” and love the peaceful setting away from the hustle while still being close to downtown. The free parking and charming decor get frequent shoutouts.

Areas for Improvement

Since it’s a traditional B&B, you won’t find 24-hour front desk service or modern hotel frills. There’s no elevator, so keep that in mind if stairs are a concern. Also, it’s not in the heart of the action—ride shares or a rental are helpful.

The Bottom Line

Rose Manor Bed & Breakfast is perfect for concert-goers who want peaceful charm, local hospitality, and easy access to New Orleans music without the downtown chaos.

The only place to stay!

Liked: This was my fourth year in a row. The comfort and cleanliness of my room can’t be beat. Love meeting in the morning at the breakfast table with the other guests. I look forward to coffee on the patio chatting with host Peter. I come for Jazzfest but can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Peter and Ruby are so welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to next year!
Disliked: There is absolutely nothing that I don’t like.

Best B&B in New Orleans

Liked: We loved the owner, Peter and his wife Ruby, both very kind and lovely people that welcomed us into their B&B, they answered all of our questions and made the stay super easy and stress free. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and we had a fridge and microwave in the room. Peter gave us many suggestions on what to do within the French Quarter and also outside the city (we visited the Whitney Plantation - highly recommend!) Thank you for the kindness and hospitality Peter! We will definitely come back!
Disliked: Everything was great!

Best B&B - Highly Recommend

Liked: Quite, Very Comfortable Bed, Was on Main Floor, Very Clean, About 5 miles from French Quarter. Excellent places to Eat Within Walking Distance. Beautiful Room With Lovely Furniture. Peter and Ruby Are Very Nice!
Disliked: Breakfast Could Have Been Better, It Was a Little Scarce. No one was Around To See What You Could Have. A Little More Direction Would Have Been Very Helpful.Need to Replace Hair Dryer, Its Broken

Solo trip to NOLA

Liked: This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast and my first visit to New Orleans, a solo trip for a wedding. I didn’t want to stay in the busy downtown area, so I looked for somewhere quieter and more relaxed. From the moment I booked, the owner of the B&B reached out to make sure I had all the details, including how to get there, and gave me her cellphone number in case I had any questions. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the owners and given a tour of their lovely, cozy, and beautifully decorated home. The kitchen and lounge area were charming, and breakfast and drinks were available from 8–11 AM each day. My room was spotless and comfortable, and they even left thoughtful welcome gifts like water, snacks, and a cute mini calendar. One of the highlights of my stay was meeting their granddaughter, who kindly took me to lunch at Mings, a delicious Chinese restaurant literally next door! During lunch, she shared a bit of New Orleans history and gave great tips on places to check out (and avoid, haha). The whole family was incredibly kind and welcoming. I’ve grown tired of staying in busy hotels, and this was exactly the peaceful, homey experience I was hoping for. Another bonus was the easy walking distance to amazing local restaurants. Even the French Quarter was just a 15-minute ride away, close enough to explore, but far enough to unwind. This trip made me fall in love with NOLA, and this B&B played a big part in that. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit!

A quaint old Manor house

Liked: We loved staying at Rose Manor. The owners were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast around the dining table with other guests was lovely. The location was perfect. Public transport was easy to use from Rose Manor. There were also restaurants along the street and a supermarket.

A lovely and welcoming stay...

Liked: It was very quirky and welcoming. It was very homely and the bedrooms were super clean.
Disliked: The location was okay, but as we stayed during a festival, the Ubers into town were about $30 each way so maybe something to consider if you’re going over the weekend (or a busy time), the cost will definitely rack up!
