Rose Garden Inn

There were no rooms available when we got there at almost 3:30. Desk clerk told me it would be an hour before any were available. Didn't like the delay - was not unable to relax a little before going to show that we drove over 2 hours for.

Liked: Room was very spacious.
Disliked: Dirty rug on all the walkways; bathroom floor needed to be mopped; not enough towels - no small towels whatsoever! Didn't notice an ice machine - thank goodness we didn't need ice.

I think the staff at the hotel needs some training on basic social skills. They are lucky I did not get pissed when he walked in.

Liked: Very close to fun little coffee houses, and near Fairgrounds.
Disliked: The Hotel Office Manager walked into my room while I was undressing - he knocked and then used his key to open the door before I even had a chance to answer him. He then asked if I was going to pay for another night. I told him yes, I booked the hotel for 3 days, what is wrong with you? There is very little parking and the spaces are small.

Liked: Friendly staff that was very helpful, gave good recommendations for food and coffee and where to go.
Disliked: Bathroom could have been cleaner

Liked: Office guy was very nice
Disliked: Missing normal hotel/motel room amenities. No bedspread, no clock, no 'Kleenex', battered furniture, bathroom sink stopper broken, badly worn 2nd floor walkway materiel, very noisy walkway when in room, no light in closet, could hear toilets flushing in adjacent rooms, the worst pillows EVER! - felt like someone had stuffed them with rags, no coffee in room,dirty parking lot.
