Rosa's Bed and Breakfast

Upon arriving at Rosa's B&B, you are greeted with a warm welcome. You are taken to your room, which, in my case, was the Garden Cottage. It was absolutely lovely - spotlessly clean which made me feel very comfortable. Rosa's B&B was cleaner than some hotels I have stayed at (which cost a great deal more per night than Rosa charges!). Her breakfast was lovely. Normal English breakfast and an unusual warm fruit starter which was very nice. Rosa is very friendly and makes you feel welcome into her home. The only negative things I have to say is although the little alleyway is convenient for those staying in the Garden Cottage to come back late without disturbing the family, it is dark and it scared me at the prospect of having to walk down it on my own at night (despite there being a small light). Although there is nothing wrong with paying by cash, I think it should have been mentioned somewhere in the description that Rosa only accepts cash as payment. Although Rosa did her best to give me directions to her house and back to town again, she did confess (bless her) to not being very good at giving directions and consequently coming back from town late at night, I got lost (despite getting off at the right stop). However, Rosa came and got me when I called to say I couldn't find my way back to her place from the bus stop - a feat above and beyond the call of duty. (Thank you Rosa.) I would definitely stay again and would absolutely recommend her B&B. Fantastic value for money and better than any hotel.

Liked: Absolutely spotless accommodation. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly.
Disliked: There were three negative points. 1. If you have booked the Garden Cottage, you can return late, without disturbing the family, via a narrow gap between Rosa's house and next door. This is quite scary despite having a small light which is on all night. 2. Rosa only accepts cash, which can be inconvenient if you have no desire to carry much cash with you. 3. Rosa needs to improve on giving directions to and from her house to any destination.

Liked: Accommodation and facilities were exactly as described. The breakfasts were excellent and the coffee decent (not always the case!) Rosa was a great host and helped make the trip memorable.
