Liked: The property was absolutely GORGEOUS AND CLEAN!! You can smell the cleansing the minute you open your room door!
Disliked: We loved every minute that we were there

A great hotel in a...
Liked: It is a great location on the water in central Chesapeake Beach. Currently, it is being heavily renovated and will soon have rooms available overlooking the marina and the Bay. There are several restaurants on the property, including The Dock where we had delicious crab cake sandwiches for lunch.Also on the property is a very nice railroad museum featuring the early 20th Century railway ties to Washington, DC, and the Chesapeake Beach steamship terminal that facilitated about 500 ships plying the Bay to Baltimore and surroundings. Finally, we were extremely gratified that when I had to go to the nearby ER with a sudden onset of lung problems, the Rod And Reel graciously comped my wife a room for the extra night she had to stay at the property. Real service!
Disliked: There was nothing we did not like. It will be even better when the renovations, which are near completion, are finished.

Liked: Nice and friendly staff
Disliked: They did have breakfast. They use to. Brin back the breakfast! At least coffee.

Great venue, front desk personnel...
Liked: I am being visiting this establishment for 10 years. It would have been rated a 10 if I could have received by massage. An appointment was made for 5pm. I was called & told the massage had to be cancelled because the individual was not coming to work that day. Since it was my birthday this was an extreme disappointment. Realizing that this is not a service that is offered by your hotel. I would recommend that you speak with contractor & indicate that they should have an on call personnel to hand customers when employees call out.
Disliked: I love the property no problems
