Riviera South Beach Hotel

Liked: Great hotel; great price for the area. Great suites! The four of us were very comfortable in the two room suite. Walking distance to everything.
Disliked: Nothing negative to say, really.

Disliked: Had a weird smell in the room. But fairly minor. The bathroom door was glass and quite see through. Very awkward for my daughter and I as you could pretty much see what was going on in bathroom. Brutal. Then the shower door was crappy and the rest of bathroom floor would get covered in water with each shower. Parking around there was not convenient at all

Liked: Loved our stay at this hotel! Great location—quiet but just a short walk to the beach and Ocean Drive. Everything is within walking distance. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond. I stayed here for my birthday, and they surprised me with a bottle of sparkling wine, a gift, and balloons—such a sweet touch!The room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice balcony. They also provide beach towels and have a beautiful outdoor patio with a bar and restaurant. Complimentary cocktail hour from 5–6pm was a nice bonus. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Horrible, Disturbing, Unwelcoming

Disliked: I mentioned to the staff in advance (about 2 weeks) that I would be arriving to the hotel at 11 am. When I got there, they were unaware of this and told me they would try to find something for me. I roamed around & waited in the lobby until 3 pm when I finally got the room. I went to the suite that I was given. I sat on the bed and found dried blood on the sheets. I immediately went to go tell the staff that this was very disturbing and I needed a different room now. They did not apologize. They gave me a different room with a balcony. I asked for assistance to carry my luggage to the other room and someone came to carry the items to the main lobby. I was standing outside of the building where I was having a smoke when an employee approached me to let me know that they carried my items to the main hotel lobby and that they weren’t held liable for my items. I was appalled! I asked for help carrying it to my room and they just left my items carelessly like that! On multiple occasions, I asked to speak to management to resolve this issue. Management responded at the end of my stay; I requested compensation and was not given anything. They were unwilling to offer any resolution. My experience was ruined due to the horrible stay I had here. I was sitting right next to the blood stain and I only wonder what kind of disease I could have caught if I had touched it. No one seemed to care or be empathic towards my experience nor did they try to make it better.
