Customer service needs to stay...

Liked: Check in was super fast and the woman was friendly. I enjoyed that the location was close to the park and was walking distance to everything we had planned. Free parking was also a bonus. AC, microwave and fridge all worked. TV worked as well but it's pretty outdated. It's a fairly large room with an oversized bathroom. Overall, the room is great just to eat, sleep and shower. The walls are pretty thin but we were mindful of our noise.
Disliked: The first day on check-in, a spider popped out of the towel hanging on the rack after a shower and a second one popped out from the ac when we went to turn it on. On the 22nd, maintenance had notified us while we were getting ready, they needed to pull out our AC to clean it. We wished we had gotten notice beforehand of this untimely event to make arrangements to be out of the room and have our things put away. My third dislike was the day of checkout, we asked for a late check out. (We checked out at 12 instead of 10). The woman at the front office said that was ok and no mention of immediate payment for the checkout was said. Then around 10:40, we got an angry call from what is assumed to be the manager saying we needed to pay $20 immediately and that I needed to come down now to speak with him even though I was in the middle of a shower. When I called to ask for a late check out, it was at 9 am and again, it was not informed that I had to pay immediately but it was going to cost me $20. When I finally went down to sort this out, the male manager was not around and it was only the woman I spoke to on the phone that morning. She insisted that she did tell me I had to pay while we were on the phone. I had told her this would not have happened if I was told this but kept saying she did tell me and that it's why another family didn't get a call as well. I went to pay with my card and she said the late checkout has to be in cash which she said was also mentioned. Our short phone call was like this: "Can I do a late checkout?" "Yes. What time did you want to checkout?" "Can we do a 12 pm checkout?" "Yes but it will be $20. It's not free." "I understand and that's ok. Thank you. We'll check-out at 12 then." "Ok then." And that was it.

Liked: Good value as only 10 mins from Disneyland
Disliked: Funny musty smell in room, was very hot as well, used air con to cool, very dated
