Riverside Hotel

Location and some historic charm were the only pluses for me.

Liked: Location; on-site restaurants; beautiful old tile floors.
Disliked: Incredibly noisy in the lounge area adjacent to the front desk. Dirty indoor/outdoor carpets in rooms; no safe in room; heavy hallway carpets made rolling suitcases difficult. Renovations appeared to be 20 years old, such as the use of gold-colored fixtures in the bathrooms.

Best hotel in Ft. Lauderdale

Liked: The location is primo, Gold Lyon bar has excellent happy hour and its a real happy hour, half priced drinks, excellent breakfast at the restaurant, bathroom was newly renovated, Riverside is one of my favorite hotels to visit.
Disliked: nothing

We loved it and will...

Liked: There are so many great places to eat and shop all in walking distance. The staff was fantastic. The room was lovely. The beds were very cozy and comfortable. I did notice a great deal of dust build up in the AC receiver vent. The system could use a good cleaning. I have a lung condition so I tend to notice these kinds of things. We will definitely stay there again!
Disliked: A larger refrigerator and an in room microwave would have been nice.

Liked: Meet and greet on arrival. Welcome at front desk. Helpfulness of reception team. Bed comfortable. Quiet. Bar / restaurant by the river. Definitely location.
Disliked: Size of bathroom.
