Location and some historic charm were the only pluses for me.

Liked: Location; on-site restaurants; beautiful old tile floors.
Disliked: Incredibly noisy in the lounge area adjacent to the front desk. Dirty indoor/outdoor carpets in rooms; no safe in room; heavy hallway carpets made rolling suitcases difficult. Renovations appeared to be 20 years old, such as the use of gold-colored fixtures in the bathrooms.

Great location, great staff yet...

Liked: The location, staff very friendly and helpful. I have been a guest at this hotel for over 30 years but the decor has made it look cheap after the renovation… bad choice of plastics and really bad lighting
Disliked: The new furniture. No or very bad WiFi connection. And the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night, like around 3 am, too often. Always false alarm

Extremely pleased with our stay.

Liked: Excellent hotel in this price range. Stayed in the older part (not the tower) in a room with 2 queen beds. Room had clearly been refurbished in recent years. Good size, comfortable beds, large desk and plenty full storage. Even had a little room instead of a wardrobe for hanging clothes and storing suitcases. Fridge was a decent size for a hotel and was quite running. Coffee machine and amenities seemed good quality, though I didn’t make use of them being a tea drinker (bring a travel kettle of tea is your thing!) The AC worked very well. Didn’t need to have it on much as the room stayed relatively cool despite the hot July temperatures outside. The shower had good pressure. Our room had the shower over a bath, but I’m sure other options are available if this doesn’t suit you. Nice bright white fluffy towels. The lobby is lovely. Spacious and cool with lots of comfortable seating. Staff were excellent. Very professional, friendly and responsive to requests. Speaking with some other guests, it seems this hotel has a loyal customer base who use this hotel when in town. Location is fantastic. Plenty of restaurants and boutique shops on Las Olas. Short drive to the beach, marina and harbour where cruises leave from. I had a hire car and pre-arranged to use the parking structure adjoining the hotel. Park kerbside and check in. Staff will give you a parking permit to display and instructions on which floor to park at. There’s an elevator from each parking level down to the hotel lobby. Parking was $26 per day for self-park (there is a more expensive full valet option. I was happy to pay this as used to London prices. Had calculated cost of parking when searching for hotel and this still came out better value than many other options that boasted free parking.
Disliked: The lighting in the room consisted of side lamps, lights along the base of the entertainment unit that turned on with motion detection and cute reading lights that popped out from the headboard. There were no ceiling lights. With all the lights on, it was too dim for me. I prefer to have the option to turn on brighter lights. Minor issue and wouldn’t stop me coming here again. In hindsight, I should have mentioned it to front desk staff as it’s possible they’d have been able to provide an additional lamp.

Amazing

Liked: I come every Year , on Bussiness I love it so much great location. The staff is amazing . Clean rooms the pool area is my daughter favorite.
Disliked: I love everything.
