The Spotlight on Riverhouse Lodge

Relaxed Riverside Retreat Just Minutes from Downtown Bend

Modern lodge vibes meet Pacific Northwest charm at Riverhouse Lodge, tucked along the scenic Deschutes River just five minutes from downtown Bend. With a peaceful setting but quick access to the city’s live music venues, this pet-friendly hotel offers the best of both worlds. Guests enjoy spacious rooms with private patios or balconies, a heated pool, on-site dining, and a laid-back, nature-meets-comfort atmosphere.

Why Concert-goers love it

Riverhouse Lodge is a favorite among music fans thanks to its close proximity to downtown Bend’s vibrant live music scene—just a short drive or rideshare away. After the show, retreat to a quieter riverside setting that still feels connected to the action. With 24-hour front desk service, flexible late check-ins, and a hot tub ready for post-show relaxing, this spot hits all the right notes.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends will love the billiards table and on-site bar to keep the night going.
Solo travelers can unwind in cozy, well-equipped rooms and enjoy peaceful riverside walks.
Couples will appreciate the romantic hot tub and gourmet dining at CURRENTS.
Fans wanting a quieter recovery space will find serenity in the lodge’s natural setting.
Budget-conscious music fans benefit from competitive rates and in-room amenities like microwaves and coffee makers.

Food and Drink Options

CURRENTS, the hotel’s on-site restaurant, serves Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes all day—from breakfast and brunch to late-night dinner and dessert. There’s also a bar for pre-show drinks or a nightcap. If you’re hungry after the encore, in-room dining and nearby eateries keep your options open. Breakfast is available for those slow, post-concert mornings.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself leans more tranquil than trendy, you’re just minutes from downtown Bend’s buzzing bars, brewpubs, and live music venues. Whether you're up for a local craft cocktail or catching a second set, the city’s nightlife is within easy reach.

What People Say

Guests rave about the serene setting, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. The riverside balconies and patios are a highlight, and many appreciate the dog-friendly policy and access to both indoor and outdoor pools. Reviewers also love the gourmet coffee machines in each room and the tasty meals at CURRENTS.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that certain parts of the hotel feel a bit dated, especially compared to more modern boutique options. The layout of the property can be a bit spread out, so be ready for a short walk to reach the pool or restaurant.

The Bottom Line

Riverhouse Lodge is a peaceful, well-equipped home base for concert-goers who want easy access to Bend's music scene without sacrificing comfort or calm.

Incredible property, from the grounds...

Liked: The bunk room was a lot of fun for the kids and I. Both the upper beds and lower beds felt like a fort type scenario. The TV didn’t have a working Internet connection so when I thought I’d lost the kids to Netflix, it failed. Yay! We read books and played games instead. The staff was super accommodating and offered toys for my pup. There was plenty of room for his kennel in the room. The bathroom amenities were nice and the choice of 2 pools was amazing. The sauna worked! The steam room worked! Because it is family-friendly, my kids had other kids to play with in the pool and that was so nice for all of us. Things were well- lit at night.
Disliked: The sliding door to the balcony was a bit too heavy for the kids to open. Not a big deal.

Good overall , facitlity could...

Liked: Gorgeous outside views of the river. Great food.
Disliked: No lights when eating on the patio we couldn’t see our food in the dark. Room is tired looking but clean. Front desk staff need to improve their attention to people checking in, greeting them properly even if they are busy. First impressions are everything. Second stay we had a parking lot view that wasn’t great.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Liked: Excellent location, and the fire pit was amazing. A very relaxing evening.
Disliked: I couldn't figure out the room service. Tried to order breakfast by texting the number per the instructions but received no response nor breakfast. Not a big deal and probably user error lol

Fine, but could be much...

Liked: The pool and sauna are both nice.
Disliked: The room was very dirty and hand lots of gnats in it when we arrived and every drain in the room drained very slow. Also the ice machine didn’t work and the room it was in was infested with bugs. The entire facility did not seem to be maintained well.

A Relaxing, Restful Night

Liked: The beautiful environment and surroundings, a nice place to relax after a long day traveling.
Disliked: No elevator for the second floor, but it was manageable. We knew it might not have one so we packed just to bring a small travel bag to our room for the night. It worked out fine. This would in no way keep us from returning, to enjoy this calming atmosphere.
