Exceptional

One of the Best Stays...

Liked: Check in was a complete breeze! It was fast, easy, and self-service. We honestly didn't know if the description online was accurate and updated or not, but when we arrived, we realized that it was exactly as described. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Since it was a little cold, we turned on the unit and the fireplace. That was a mistake because it got too hot. The fireplace was more than enough to keep it warm. It was very quiet and peaceful. No one bothered anyone else, there wasn't much noise, and even though we knew others were staying there, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The balcony was a very nice surprise because it was also quiet. Nikki, our housekeeper was great: without disturbing me or my sister or anything in the room, she cleaned and left fresh towels. We didn't have to ask her for anything. She saw what we needed and delivered. There are SO many places in walking distance and much to do. We stayed for two nights, but we'd go back and book here for longer. Sevierville is a hop, skip, and a jump away and Gatlinburg is no more than 30 minutes out. If you plan to go to Margaritaville, either plan on walking or factor in time to park and ride the trolley for free. As far as we could tell, there isn't any transportation similar to that from and back to the hotel.
Disliked: I didn't like how dark it was when I took a shower. Even with the bathroom light on, it was dark in there. The step up into the shower over the tub edge was a little high, but my sister and I both managed.
