Liked: The staff was exceptional. They went the extra mile to fix a screw up by the booking company that provided no help whatsoever...not even a phone number published on their website to resolve issues. The person at the front desk went the extra mile to resolve all of these issues by contacting the booking agency herself. The competence of the hotel staff didn't end there. The dining room staff was equally competent, friendly, caring, and had time to engage in worthwhile conversations. The ambiance of the hotel was enhanced by a truly caring and supportive staff. I recommend the Riveredge Resort Hotel in Alexandria Bay as an excellent stop for travelers
Disliked: The service of the booking company was abysmal. The hotel and the staff were exceptional and ther were no negative issues whatsoever. The hotel staff really went the extra mile.

Solar Eclipse 2024

Liked: Convenient waterfront property for quiet off season stay for 2024 eclipse viewing. Plenty of free parking on site. Walkable to small town.Had great top (4th) floor queen suite w/ loft. Used baloney frequently. Wonderful riverviews from baloney and down on patio searing & small docks.Did the Eclipse buffet for $30, with taxes & gratuity was $40/ pp. Good selection of food. Soup, salad, breadsticks.Variety of thick crust pizza & stfuffed breads. Hot buffet was cities in tomato sauce, meatballs, ziti Alfredo, breaded haddock & garlic knots. Food was plentiful but fair. Enjoyed the haddock.Staff every friendly. Came & took away empty dishes frequently. There was a live duo singing act, they did a selection of songs and did well considering they said they don't usually perform together.
Disliked: Son said double bed in loft was uncomfortable, needed a new mattress & that the TV ought to be angled down for viewing from bed. Needed a chair up there for sitting. Breakfast was complentary, nothing hot. Danishes, odd bagel/ croissant combo, your get, fruit cup, cold cereals, muffins etc. Coffee, tea & boxed milk. Individual OJ containers.

Disliked: The hotel is kind of old, it could go a good upgrade, but hopefully they don’t charge more….
