River Inn at Seaside

Enjoyable!

Liked: Large and very clean room, huge and comfy bed, very helpful and friendly staff, walking distance to Broadway Street and beach.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE & FRIENDLY...

Liked: Location was pretty good considering it wasn't oceanfront. Being on the river was a good compromise. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: The noise. We were on the 3rd of 4 floors and we could hear EVERYTHING. Kids running around above us, kids running down the hallway outside our room, room doors slamming shut all hours of the day and night, housekeeping was extremely loud early in the morning while we were trying to sleep. Understand they need to flip the rooms for the next guest to get checked in, but these rooms are NOWHERE near soundproof, so maybe start a little later in the morning? We were also informed that they had just "updated" their rooms, but they looked like they hadn't been touched since the late 90's. Yikes! Truthfully, though, we would gladly take great/pleasant/helpful staff over asthetics any day and they DID have wonderful staff! So friendly and helpful :). Oh, we would also suggest a better breakfast spread. Everything was processed, nothing hot or freshly made except some gravy. Even the oatmeal came in packets. Every other hotel we've stayed that offers free breakfast, offers fresh eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. Just suggesting a better selection with less packaged/processed options and more fresh/hot options. The pool and the hot tub (especially hot tub) needs a thorough cleaning as well. We noticed the shower water had a mineral-like smell to it (maybe sulfur?). So, we think it's perhaps mineral deposits of some sort bc it didn't appear to be dirt or "grime." Just think there's got to be a solution to making it more presentable for the guests?

Very dog and people friendly.

Liked: It was a beautiful location. We got to see the beach from our room. The coffee cups for sale were amazing. The convenience of taking my dogs with me. My sister loved the pool. They were central to where we had to go. It was nice they had movies and books. Staff was friendly. They had a dog welcoming basket and dishes for them. They even had poop bags.
Disliked: The breakfast wasn’t very nutritious and didn’t have variety. Not being able to get more pillows.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable...

Liked: The site was quiet and comfortable, and perfect location. Check in was quick, super polite, and informative. Loved the firepits overlooking the river, despite the weather not really cooperating. Located one block off of the main strip, we walked everywhere which was fantastic.
Disliked: Breakfast was lackluster - mostly just carbs were offered, and the waffles were underdone.
