Superb

Great property & location but...

Liked: Great location and a lovely building and gardens on the river. The only member of staff we met was vey nice and professional
Disliked: The hotel is marketed as five star but it doesn't have the facilities you would expected in such a venue and should really be described as a B&B. There are no facilities at the hotel to make a longer stay more attractive unless you take part in the wellness actives which didn't seem to be taking place at the weekend. In the absence of a bar advised to get drinks from the local garage shop - 5 Star? The breakfast was very poor with little choice other than croissants and a few strawberries. Despite other reviews complementing the breakfast here on our stay it could be described as non existent.

This is not a hotel...

Liked: The location is just stunning and the property is nicely but very basically decorated. Wonderful view from our room.
Disliked: Our standard room was very basic and lacking in any kind of luxuries. I even had to put my glasses on the floor by the bed as there was no bedside table. This is not a hotel but a guest house. There isn’t any food available or tea and coffee in the rooms. There is a nice kitchen to make your own coffee in though. The breakfast was very limited and felt that although this is a beautiful place it doesn’t offer good value for money.

Liked: Beautiful setting on the bank of the River Thames. We stayed for the purpose of a visit to Heston's Fat Duck restaurant which is a 5 minute journey away. Very convenient location. Conformable beds and beautiful pillows.
Disliked: There are many different room options. We chose a cheap room and it was rather cosy and under equipped. Other room options looked substantially larger but were more expensive
