Basic but met our needs

Liked: The staff were very friendly and accommodating, particularly the Saturday morning chef. The room was clean and spacious and the property is close to town, making it walkable if you wanted. Off street parking is available and there is plenty of space as long as everyone parks responsibly.
Disliked: The check in process was neither seamless nor contactless unlike advertised. There was no one on site and I called the landline listed on the door over 5 times before someone called me back. As the keys were in a safe outside the door, all you would need to do was send a message with the code and the room number the morning of the booking, making check in contactless and seamless. Other guests were confused by the lack of on site staff and mistook us for staff as we were staying in room 7 by the front door.We were given a threadbare towel that was ragged at the edges, which we asked for a replacement for the next morning and were given a much nicer option. The pillows need to be replaced. The place felt rundown but clearly the cleaning staff are doing an excellent job as it was clean. The photos in the listing are clearly not recent.
