Rivendell Guest House

Lovely, friendly stay close to...

Liked: I had a lovely stay at Rivendell, which is situated just a few minutes walk from the town centre and buses to Penrith, Windermere and more. The room was perfectly sized for a solo traveller with lots of storage, and the bed was extremely generous for a single (closer to a double). The host, Jo, was absolutely lovely, communicative and helpful, helping me book a taxi and giving advice on transport and things to do. You can select from a generous range of breakfast options each morning and a great, hearty breakfast is then cooked to your specifications. The surrounding area has tonnes to do and great fews and was very easy to get around even without a car.
Disliked: WiFi was a bit spotty but that's to be expected for the area. Bath towel could have been a little bigger. That's basically it, I had a pretty much perfect stay!

Liked: Lovely space and comfortable room with great storage and well decorated. Jo was lovely and friendly and gave us everything we needed including a delicious breakfast and restaurant recommendations
Disliked: very little. Only thing would be the wifi was a bit patchy

Liked: The guest house is in a very convenient location in Keswick. Very close to the town centre but at the same time in a quiet location. The house and rooms itself are immaculately clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very tasty. Kudos to Jo who runs her guest house so well!
