Perfect , last minute break...

Liked: Lovely boutique hotel. Last minute booking due to a change in plans. Comfortable , nicely styled room. Lovely touch of a record player and vinyls. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice and fresh. We had a lovely chat with the manager about the hotel and Helensburgh. Highly recommend Riva

Disliked: The breakfast wasn't the best with stale pastries and off milk. All cups and plates were filthy with food/stains on them and dog hair on seats. Staff didn't seem to be concerned about these when highlighted which is a shame as the hotel building and location are good.

Lovely stay, great staff and...

Liked: It was quirky and very well located to for visiting a friend who lived just round the corner. It was close to Loch Lomond and in beautiful country side.
Disliked: Nothing

Rip off for £234 price

Liked: Continental breakfast was average. Location was good for what we wanted
Disliked: Room descibed as superior king but the room was small and disappointing. The bathroom bin had not been emptied and there was a half used toilet roll.

Fine for a night with...

Liked: Friendly greeting, good location, free parking opposite. The room decor was quirky and attractive, although the 'Rennie Mackintosh' style glass in the bathroom door was rather too see-through for privacy when using the loo.
Disliked: Continental buffet breakfast was ok, but the fruit salad was past its best, and the tea had been brewed and left in a vacuum flask and was not hot enough.
