Great hotel for the price...

Liked: I loved the bed, super comfy, the shower, and the decor of the room. The room itself though, was small. The location of the hotel was perfect, almost centrally located between Glendale and Scottsdale. The pool area was great just need to drink choices that are more basic.
Disliked: The pool drink options and no coffee in the room!

Stay somewhere else and get...

Liked: I loved the popsicle stand when you check in and Lylo. Lylo had amazing chips and salsa and the passion fruit cocktail was amazing. Servers there were always friendly and prompt.
Disliked: The resort fee was a surprise and definitely not worth it. The free cocktail everyday was pretty restricted hours and usually just a flavoring with club soda. The rooftop area was pretty lackluster and the menu was as well. We also weren’t expecting a motel, so that should be more clearly defined. The shower in our room took 15-20 minutes to get hot and the sink water didn’t get hot at all. Our toilet broke and wouldn’t flush multiple times during the stay.

Disliked: Plumbing issues, reoccurring issue based on our observation on the bathroom wall cover.The service at the pool was poor, my wife was told that no bottle water was allowed, as soon as we laid down by the pool, no service was provided, while she was cleatly serving behind/adjacent to us, on our side of the pool, I had after an hour, reach to another pool server instead, working on the other side of the pool area. Michael took good care of us, but unfortunately the damage was done. We were not aware that a simple bottle of water would be such an issue, if it was then the manager/supervisor who escorted us our chairs, should have said so.

Funky and fun space

Liked: Clearly a lot of work went into the renovation of an older structure into something new/artistic. Fun thoughtful aesthetic in the rooms and lobby; the energy was wonderful. Rooptof bar sophisticated yet welcoming with an engaged staff. Pool area is simple, but effective with a kind/attentive waitress. Several very good restaurants nearby.
Disliked: Pretty pricey given the location is kind of far from certain landmarks, but it seems hotel prices are higher than I anticipated in Phoenix. Pool towels were a bit tired/thin.
