Comfortable and practical room

Liked: Property was close to the train station and town and bus stops.Room was clean and had everything we needed Staff were friendly.

Liked: Value for money, staff excellent and friendly. The room was small but for the price paid not expecting much more. A lovely bathroom with all the facilities you need.As it is above the public house there is the noise of the busy pub, but that stops after closing hours. As I said staff were brilliant and made the stay excellent. Location, right in the middle of town so most things are within easy walking distance, like places to visit and Lime Street station.
Disliked: Nothing really as I said in my comments good value for price paid, just don't expect an early night sleep on weekends because of bar.

Liked: The staff in the pub downstairs were exceptional. The lady who came to check my room was in good order on departure was very polite and arrived quickly after I had to phone next door for the check out. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Disliked: These are rooms above an Irish pub with no concierge on site. Solo female travellers may find this disconcerting. You have to hand over a cash deposit of £50 in addition to paying for the room. The £50 damage deposit is returned on checkout. There are no exceptions to this. The room is extremely basic- no bedside light, ( just the ceiling light), no kettle or hairdryer, ‘office’ type blind. The room smelled very strongly of disinfectant and the handwash/shower gel had obviously been watered down.
