Great location. Uncomfortable room.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Room too warm with only one window for ventilation. If you keep it opened it is too noisy to sleep. Only one pillow for each person and not very comfortable. Mattress not very comfortable too.

Disappointed

Liked: Location
Disliked: My friend and I arrived in Liverpool for the Dua Lipa concert from Nottingham and had to stay only one night. We both thought, “What can happen in one night?” so we didn’t take a lot of cash, only 15£.Once we arrived we were told to get out and look for a new hotel if we did not have a £50 deposit in cash. I personally never carry that much cash or a physical card as I use contactless. Luckily, my friend had her card with her… so she went to withdraw some money in an unknown city when we were tired, hungry, and both needed a toilet really badly…. Okay, maybe that’s the hotel’s rule we should follow, and I do have to carry cash — that’s on me… BUT TO SAY TO GET OUT??? Really? In an unknown city?I offered my BRP passport which I had with me, and they didn’t accept it. The staff was rude as well and seemed not to want to deal with us, as the reception is the bar full of tipsy people next to the hotel. The actual hotel has no staff inside and no visible signs that the reception is at the bar…Later, even BETTER things happened when we were inside the room. The look of the bedroom and toilet is really nice, especially considering the great location and the £50 we paid, which isn’t a lot for Liverpool… HOWEVER, the whole room and the toilet were covered in someone’s hair, piss stains… the bedding was really dirty, so was the sink and the actual toilet. I had a feeling that no one ever cleaned it before our arrival.Later, when I sat on my bed, it just broke right away under me… my height is 5’7” or 171 cm and my weight is 63 kg… I mean… that must be the bed which was already broken! I feel like they’re collecting £50 to repair their hotel later! And well, that’s definitely on me — I don’t carry cash nowadays and I should — but they also could have at least emailed or texted me in Booksy messenger! At least some notification for people to know they should pay an extra £50 if they don’t want to sleep outside.

Very good rooms, comfy bed,...

Liked: I cannot fault the room, which was very very good. The room was clean, bed was comfy, shower was good. There was a kettle and mugs, for tea and coffee. Location is very good, clos to the train station, coffee shop, which you can have breakfast and shops. Receptionist in the morning was super kind, even offered me that I could leave my suitcase safely stored for walking in the city.
Disliked: I don't know if I missed this info, but the check in was a bit confusing. I went to the wrong door and I had to phone them to know what to do. Then I was told I needed to go down the street to collect the key and access code to the door. After I got that, it was easy to access my room. I am a light sleeper, so the blind could be improved to make it really dark. The other problem I had, was to turn on the shower. It took me a while to discover what to do. Some instructions would have been good. I phoned the reception, but maybe it was too late and got no answer. And this one is not their fault, but the noise from other guests made my night really bad. There were noisy guests coming and going super late at night and throughout after 1am, talking and slamming doors. I don't know if people went out to smoke or what. And in early morning, since 4am, people doing the same and some guys from 6am appearing to be discussing in the room next door. I guess I was really unlucky with all these guests. I don't know if anything could be done about that. I think that is up to people being considerate about others :(

Expensive for what is provided

Liked: The room was in a good central location, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
Disliked: The room was very sparsely furnished, and the noise from the karaoke downstairs until midnight was very loud, making the floor vibrate. The room was not value for money, as the cost was very high for the amenities provided.
