This was our second stay at the hotel, for concerts at the National. It's a 3 minute or less walk, which is great. The valet and doormen who greeted us upon arrival were super friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was great. Our room, on the 14th floor was very nice, with comfortable beds, upscale linens, and a really excellent air conditioner, which means a lot to me. We walked to a great little English pub (Penny Lane) for a quick dinner before the concert, a five minute walk, good food, great atmosphere. The next morning, we had the breakfast buffet, which was included in the room that I selected, and it featured a chef making omelettes to order, smoked salmon and deli meats and cheeses, fruit, and cereal, and a hot bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and cheese crepes. Then we were on our way, and looking forward to our next concert trip! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be satisfied with the Richmond Marriott, super nice hotel in every way!
Liked: Comfortable beds; quiet; cool room.
Disliked: Nothing negative.

I felt right at ease as soon as I entered the hotel. Everyone who works there was always waiting to answer questions and direct me to wherever I wanted to go. I was surprised. I was dressed in my "Seether" concert gear and they treated me like any other guest! Will go back to this Marriott hotel next time there is a show at The National

My experience was a great one. I booked because of how close The Marriott is to The National since I was attending a concert. Location was great, staff was very nice and the accommodations were great. I will book again next time I am in town!

Liked: Loved the location
Disliked: Restaurant was closed. Starbucks closed at 1, lounge hours 530-10 not ideal for a weekend . Must people want to hang around the hotel and have drinks, closing at 10 isn?t ideal. Charging $29 for valet when you are a guest is outrageous. I traveled with my 73 yo mother who cannot walk far, so the garage was not feasible. Also feel like our city view was terrible, we looked at a cement rooftop. Really wish they had balconies. Staff was incredible on a positive note.
