Exceptional

Lovely stay , the hotel...

Liked: Location v/good , room fine , b/fast fine , Spa lovely and pool facilities great .
Disliked: The room was not done for one day during our stay and b/fast tea bags were hit and miss . Would have preferred paperwork explaining b/fast times , how to work the TV and any other relevant information with regards to the Hotel .

Liked: The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.Massage in the spa was wonderful.
Disliked: There were vacuum cleaners and laundry trolleys left outside our rooms for the night we stayed there.It was there on arrival and departure. Not great when trying to get in and out your room. Rooms are a bit tired in the older part of the hotel. The newer side is lovely as have stayed there before.

Great short break in quiet...

Liked: Very quirky, staff very pleasant, good good and well priced.
Disliked: The lift levels made no sense but added to the quirkiness!

Unfortunately, the hotel did not...

Liked: The area was beautiful and the Bar area with the outdoor seating
Disliked: I myself work in the hotel industry so i understand that if you put a guest in a room were the AC does not work, you must inform them upon arrival. However in my case no one did. Me and my partner were sweating the entire night tossing and turning, it was the worst nights sleep possible. The Second issue is there was Two Hot tubs where the Jet was not working and one of them with also no heating and only one working. We waited AGES to finally actually get in one that works. Theres no timing around for consideration of the next person using. And after we did go in there was white pieces floating around i thought it was dry skin it was revolting we left as soon as we spot it but sadly soaked in there for 15mins beforehand. The sauna is the tiniest box you will ever see. Overall i paid a-lot of money for the one night where i was not comfortable and was not able to use the amenities at its fullest due to things not working on the hotels end of things. And yes we did complain on the day and the maintenance was there the whole time we were there trying to fix the heating for the jacuzzi outside but didn’t manage to fix anything.
