Richmond Farm Lodge

Very lovely place, very friendly...

Liked: Very warm and helpful hosts. We were given great suggestions for excursions. The breakfast was excellent. An ideal base for exploring New Plymouth, Mt Taranaki and the surrounding area. We liked the place very much and would come back on our next visit to NZ.
Disliked: The traffic noise in the morning, due to the proximity to the highway #45 can be a bit loud.

Perfect stay a few minutes...

Liked: Great hosts that really looked after us. Comfy bed, warm house, delish breakie and only a short drive from the city centre. A perfect base for a weekend of exploring New Plymouth. Thanks Richmond Farm Lodge 😀

Home away from home

Liked: We only spent one night here, but it felt like a little bit of home away from home. Karen and Murray were amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. The way the lodge is set up, you can have privacy and quiet in your room (including private bathroom) if you like, but are also welcome to have a cup of tea and a chat with Karen and Murray or other guests in the common space. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, and our stay was very comfortable.
Disliked: No fault to the location itself, but during our stay the weather was so overcast that we missed out on the view of Mt Taranaki, as it was hidden by clouds our entire stay.
