We found it to be...
Liked: Super location, tucked away next to a stream on private land. Very good views from the windows and balcony. The hut is pretty and practical, with every thing you for your stay. The owner Olwen is a really lovely lady, who does everything to make your stay enjoyable.Olwen organised with her brother to open his museum located around the corner for us to find out about the historic events which happened here which included the internment of Irish people after the Easter Rising and other events. His museum is well worth a visit, he (Alwyn) built it with his own hands and funds. He is very happy to share his knowledge with visitors for a small donation for the upkeep.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing!

Peaceful & beautiful weekend in...
Liked: The shepherd's hut is in a beautiful location, looking out over fields. Very quiet & private. It was very convenient for reaching Bala village & the lake. The interior was as described in the listing.
Disliked: It's good for a short stay like a long weekend, the limted cooking facilities would be a challenge for longer stays.

We had an amazing time
Liked: We loved everything! This place is a hidden gem.Great location, close to Bala lake and other beautiful places in Snowdonia! The hut was exactly what we wanted, situated on a field, looking at the beautiful scenery and even a stream! We wanted self catering and it was perfect for that. Olwen, our host welcomed us with biscuits and fresh potatoes from her garden. She even offered us to use an other fridge if we needed more space. Kitchen area is small but enough to prepare simple meals! Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather as it was raining most of the time but we managed to make the most of our stay despite the wet weather!
Disliked: Nothing!

Relaxing few days
Liked: The name says it all. Very cosy in beautiful location with stream running down side. Host was very friendly and left delicious homemade cookies. The air fryer was very handy as well as the BBQ that was set up with coals. Only a few miles to town where there was everything we needed. Small but perfectly formed.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike
