In the heart of the New Forest this grand country house was built in 1887 and features a spa ornamental garden and a fine dining restaurant. Rhinefield House Hotel is a 10-minute drive from scenic Lyndhurst. The sumptuous 4-star bedrooms each have a flat-screen satellite TV a DVD player free Wi-Fi and a work desk. The luxurious bathrooms feature fluffy bathrobes and bespoke toiletries. Guests can enjoy fresh local produce and creative dishes in the Armada Restaurant which has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes. Disliked: Only criticism was that the meal we got from the bar took a long time (about 40 minutes) to arrive.

A very peaceful stay in...

Liked: Beautiful hotel building, gardens and location. Excellent breakfast and beautifully served. Excellent staff all round. Comfortable bed and room. Very peaceful.
Disliked: The bedroom decoration was dated and the carpets were generally rather tired. The TV offer was very poor with no Netflix etc. We ate in the conservatory and the food was generally good except for the Eaton Mess which was very mediocre/poor.

Our stay here lived up...

Liked: Room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Lovely staff everywhere who always greeted guests and took an interest in what you were doing.
Disliked: I found some of the public areas a little cold and draughty and the hotel likes to have lots of doors and windows open. Breakfast time was a little early for quite so much fresh air - in my opinion.
