A truly special hotel in...

Liked: This is truly a unique hotel (in the best sense)! It has so many interesting collections spread throughout the halls and in each room. We stayed in the library room with high ceilings, ornate tin ceiling and book cases - the nicest room we've ever stayed in for the reasonable price. Very clean with large walk-in shower in the bathroom. We appreciated counter space for toiletries. The staff is very helpful.

Liked: The environment is very friendly and welcoming. Staff are professional and courteous. Enjoy the surprise of finding out which room you get to stay in once you arrive. I liked the ability to go out through different doors, with secured re-entry, dependent on where your room is.

Liked: Spacious room, nice pieces of art throughout hotel.
Disliked: Rude staff!!! I have family in town but will make sure to avoid ever staying at the hotel again and have also told family in the US not to stay there if they come for a visit. Completely ignored my birthday, wouldn't even wish me one when told in person. Seems they have been getting through the pandemic fine and do not need to please their guests! Also didn't appreciate being lied to - they claiming to plant a tree for me because I didn't use housekeeping. A blunt lie. Why the lies and why the ignorance? Plus dried blood stains in the pillow case. Didn't like that much either.
