Disappointing

Liked: Pool was closed. Almost had to cancle because I could move a room with a pet or something. I don't know. Definitely a spencer iowa hotel.

Liked: The morning desk clerk was very helpful when I described my problem.
Disliked: I arrived at the Reston Inn and was booked into an adjacent building. After using the facilities, I went to wash my hands and had no water in the sink nor in the bathtub. I called the front desk and was told by the front desk person that she knew there was no water to the building and that they were working on repairs. I asked if there were any rooms in the main building and she said there was. When I asked to be moved to a room with running water, she said she would have to charge me for another room. Eventually, I did get water. After going out to dinner, I was getting undressed and some man had a key card to my room. If I hadn't had the bar lock on he would have entered my room. I angrily went to the front desk to complain and the clerk said it wasn't his fault. Duh!!! I told her I had a concealed carry permit and she was lucky she didn't have a dead man in her hallway. The next morning, I spoke with a different front desk person. She said there was a note at the front desk that said that the rooms in the adjacent building were not to be rented out. She said she would speak to the manager about my concerns, but I have not heard from her.

I would stay there again.

Liked: Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and they brought fresh towels daily. I forgot my makeup remover and they had that in the room. I used that one and the next day they replaced it with a new one. We were pulling a trailer and there was room to park it along the side of the building. My husband couldn't get the remote to work so he went to the desk and they not only replaced the batteries but came to the room and showed him how to work it with a smile on her face.

Disliked: I was hoping for hash browns for breakfast but the breakfast was good. I like that when we arrived later at night the juice and coffee is 24 hours there.
