my reason for traveling to...

Liked: Room was immaculate. Road noise was minimal. Staff is wonderful. The building was built in the 1940's or early 50s, which means that the walls are thin. 9 1/2 times out of 10 people are very respectful re keeping the noise down after 9 pm.
Disliked: Not a thing other than people who don't abide by the 9 pm quiet suggestion.

It's not worth the money

Liked: The motel is really close to Santa Monica beach and downtown. The staff was pretty friendly
Disliked: This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in my life. There is persistent smell of bleach. The bed is super terrible and overall, the hotel hasn't seen renovation for centuries. BTW, there is no available outlet in the room.

Liked: Comfy bed. Shower adequate. Quiet. Close to fast food and star bucks. On bus route.Small room but pleasant decor.
Disliked: No coffee making in room. On main road and area a bit unattractive. However, only 10-15mins to Santa Monica Beach, Pier, shops and restaurants.

Liked: Quietness with a nice garden
Disliked: 1. Tiny tiny room 2. No table or chairs at all3. Smallest "double bed" that you can think of even for a smaller sized couple. Good luck keeping your arms from overlapping each other's. 4. Mattress with no back/ lumbar support at all, waking up with a horrible back pain.
