Unpleasant.
Liked: No wifi. In 2025 how do you expect guests to enjoy their stay without the barest minimum.

Good
Liked: Although the immediate area appears a little rough we had no issues, and the hotel is safe, clean and quiet. This was our second stay here and it's very convenient and good value.

For the price I paid...
Liked: Location is awesome! Could not be better to see the centro part of Mexico City! Close to everything. There is a small park steps from the building with close access to two metro stations. There is security 24/7 that is nice and reassuring. they cleaned the room daily and was kept immaculate. They refilled the soaps/shampoos daily and I appreciated that even though I chose to bring my own. There was also a small tv that was attached to the wall. you need to request a remote from the front desk. The staff was amenable and offered some small things at the front desk such as water and basic snacks. Always good after a long day (or night) and at a good price. The neighborhood is mostly commercial and is active during the day but very quiet at night. Also a working elevator and hot water (not the best water pressure but if you have been there before, water and hot water/pressure can sometimes be an issue but not here. The proximity to the Zocalo, Belles Artes, shopping, dining and public transportation make this a good choice!
Disliked: I liked everything about this hotel. My feedback is that the room was very very basic. That means there was one bed, a bathroom (excellent) and one small bedside table. There was no dresser and as I was there two weeks that was kind of an issue, but not a deal break. There was also a very small closet but had no hangars so could not hang anything up. Again not a deal breaker but something to comment on. Also, the doors are very very thin and there is a good 2 inch gap between the door and the floor, so everyone hears everything. Also, my room was interior so I faced an inner courtyard and that only made the sounds more loud. It is also a mixed use building with rooms and also apartments. There is no AC but a large fan in the room that was fine for this time of year (March/April) but I can imagine in the heat of summer may be hot for some. The only other thing that arose for me was when I had a friend who wanted to spend some time in my room and when he parked there was a homeless woman that began to scream at us that he needed to pay her to keep his car safe and when we went into the hotel the desk clerk told us also that there was a 'parking fee' even though it was a public street and plenty of parking. We chose to pay to park one street over that was garaged and was worth the pesos. There is also no microwave/heater or coffee offered. There is a 7-11 a block away that worked for me. There are also plenty of daily options for breakfast and pastries as well as some tacos and very close to other casual restaurants.
