Spacious Suites and City Convenience in the Heart of Downtown Denver

Modern, all-suite hotel in downtown Denver with plenty of space to unwind after the show. The Residence Inn by Marriott Denver City Center is just a short walk to the 16th Street Mall, and only minutes from major concert venues like Ball Arena. Whether you're catching a show or exploring the city, this hotel offers a laid-back, homey vibe with the convenience of a central location.

Each suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen, separate seating area, and a 50-inch flat-screen TV—ideal for kicking back post-concert. Free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center, and on-site laundry facilities make longer stays easy and comfortable.

Why Concert-goers love it

You're just a 5-minute drive from Ball Arena and a 10-minute walk to the Colorado Convention Center, making this hotel a prime pick for fans heading to shows. With a central downtown location, it’s easy to grab a ride or hop on nearby public transport late at night. The vibe is relaxed and quiet, so you can get some solid rest after the encore. The flexible check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM gives you time to settle in or sleep in after a big night.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want roomy suites to share and the convenience of city access
  • Solo travelers chasing a must-see tour stop
  • Couples turning a concert into a weekend getaway
  • Fans looking for a quieter recovery space after the show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want space and amenities

Food and Drink Options

While there's no full-service restaurant onsite, the Residence Inn offers a daily breakfast—perfect for late risers recovering from a night out. You’ll find cafés and late-night bites just steps away at the 16th Street Mall, and with those in-room kitchens, you can stock up on snacks or whip up something at 2AM. Room service isn't available, but the downtown location more than makes up for it.

Nightlife Options

You're surrounded by Denver’s thriving nightlife, from intimate jazz bars to lively pubs. Check out nearby LoDo or Union Station for craft cocktail lounges, or find a post-show hangout along the 16th Street Mall. While the hotel doesn’t host live music itself, it’s an easy walk or ride to some of the city’s best after-hours spots.

What People Say

Guests rave about the spacious, clean suites and the feeling of having a home base in the city. Many mention how walkable the location is, especially for events. Reviewers also appreciate the friendly staff, solid breakfast, and the convenience of having a kitchen. Concert-goers especially love being close to venues but far enough away to get a peaceful night’s rest.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel has a no-frills lobby and lacks a full-service restaurant or bar onsite. If you're looking for luxury flair, this might not be your top pick—but for comfort and location, it’s a win. Also, parking is extra, so factor that into your budget.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a concert in Denver and want space, comfort, and a central location, the Residence Inn by Marriott Denver City Center hits all the right notes.

Close to downtown.

Disliked: You have to pay an additional $29 dollars just to park your car.

My daughter and I were in town for to consecutive concerts. We didn't have a car so more than once the front desk staff was very helpful in showing us the best routes for walking to our destinations. Someone greeted us every single time we entered the hotel. The breakfast area was clean and inviting. The housekeeping staff was also cheerful and did an excellent job of replenishing whatever we needed in our room. I definitely look forward to staying at this hotel again!

Liked: Super friendly, helpful staff. The room was very clean, as was the gathering area. Fantastic breakfast every morning.

I would definitely choose it...

Liked: The Hotel is located in a strategic location, nearby downtown as well as touristic places. Everything was spot on, from Reception onwards.
Disliked: Although breakfast was good, the hot choices were a bit cold. Furthermore, I would suggest to widen up the option for breakfast. Otherwise, no complaint.

Marriott, why have you sunk...

Liked: Norma at the front desk is a real gem. The lobby itself is happy and cheerful. There's a nice, small gym on site. Elevators work well, too.
Disliked: I'm not sure what happened to Marriott, but their hotels often missed the mark. When I arrived (at night), I entered a room that felt very dingy with a funny smell. Several fixtures in the bathroom were inoperable, including an overhead light that blinked on and off. Plus, the decor is very drab and depressing. The breakfast was exceptionally processed, including with boiled eggs in packages. Downtown Denver is not a highlight either, as there were numerous homeless and vagrants all around. From the minute I stepped off my flight, women were warning me to "BE CAREFUL." While not the hotel's fault, it certainly doesn't give a female solo traveler comfort.

Very clean comfortable hotel and...

Liked: The staff was the best. We forgot a charge cord and the front desk staff let us take hers to our room to use for an hour or two.
Disliked: The breakfast was not the best tasting that I’ve experienced.

Liked: Room was available early
Disliked: No safe in the room. Sofa bed had to be done after our arrival. Breakfast extremely disappointing from Marriott's standards.
