Nice Hotel, good location and...

Disliked: The Hotel didn’t inform us that there are some undergoing works opposite the hotel that cause some noise disruptions.Even though the breakfast was fine, some buns had mold, not acceptable. And it’s the first time ever that as a guest I have been told to tide up the table and get rid of the breakfast rubbish and put it in the bin.

Disliked: I have been a loyal Marriott customer and have never had a stay like this one, where there was a damaged cracked stove top, AC pulling away from the wall. Corner beam wallpaper cracking but the main issue was my girlfriend who has eczema and has to be careful with her skin, pointing out to me the shower head had mold as a property manager I can tell you that is a health code violation, not knowing what is hitting your skin or face; she refused to use the shower the next morning. I took photos of all these items. Staff was nice and accommodating but the site needs repair. And someone got away with firing fireworks in the adjacent lot keeping us up till well past 2am. Something I don't blame the hotel for, but it just exacerbated the situation with lack of sleep. Definitely not my best stay especially on the 4th of july weekend.

Liked: good location. bus stop was near and we had a nice view of the skyline.the rooms were big, bathroom clean and the little kitchen had everything we needed.
Disliked: we booked a room for three people. One king bed and a sofa bed.When we arrived the sofa was not ready for someone to sleep in. We had to ask for the bedding stuff and had to set up the bed by ourself. It wasn’t problematic, but after a long travel day we kind of expected everything to be ready.

Good enough for my birthday...

Liked: Location. Close to trains and ferry that takes you straight across to manhattan in 5mins. Ferry drops you back off right at hotel. Upscale bar right underneath hotel. Beautiful rooftop with views of nyc skyline and Hudson.
Disliked: Price was really high for what was given. Paying for views obviously. King suite was spacious though. No pool. Booked city view but I actually had a view of other rooms on the property I could literally look in their windows. That sucked. Better off without the window. Breakfast was “hot” but it sucked: oatmeal, cold boiled eggs, bagel, toast, individually wrapped heated in plastic sausage biscuits and English muffins. Coffee wasn’t great either maybe a good creamer would help but there was only cows milk, soy, half&half. Ah well
