Why Concert-goers love it

Located less than two miles from major concert spots like The Anthem and Capital One Arena, this hotel is a favorite for music lovers. Thanks to the nearby Navy Yard Metro Station, getting to late-night events is easy—even without a car. Rooms are well-insulated for a quiet night's sleep after loud encores, and the 24-hour front desk makes late check-ins totally stress-free. The overall vibe is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for decompressing post-show.

You’re also steps away from dozens of walkable eateries, from fast-casual bites to waterfront dining at The Yards. Room service isn’t available, but with 24/7 access to your own fridge and stovetop, you won’t go hungry.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel doesn’t host live music, the location puts you close to some of DC’s best nightlife. Our stay at Residence Inn...

Liked: Wonderful hotel- we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent- staff was very nice- room was very clean. The only downside was we couldn’t find a fan button in the bathroom. Not that big of a deal- I would stay there again.

Washington

Liked: The staff was very nice, breakfast was good but it didn't have any bread, only bagles and english muffins. The location was great. The only thing I can complain is very minor, but breakfast hours, at least on weekdays was from 6am ro 9am, I understand that it is weekdays, but when you are on vacation a little bir longer can be needed. It could be at least up until 9.30am

Terrible experience, will not be...

Liked: Breakfast was ok, although it got repetitive after a while. Location was decent: There was a subway station a block away, about three stops to the museums on the Mall. The ballpark is also a block away, which was very inconvenient for us but might be good if you plan to see a game. Expect lots of traffic if you're driving.
Disliked: Upcharges for everything. I get that a la carte pricing is all the rage now, but as much as we paid for this stay, some things should just be included:- $65/day for parking (although there's a public lot down the street for "only" $40/day).- "Free" wifi stopped working halfway through the stay, with constant nagging to upgrade the service at $16/day. And somehow they charged us for the upgrade anyway even though I declined it dozens of times. Probably my kid clicked the button on her device.- The laundry machines had ancient magstripe readers that wouldn't take my card. The maintenance guy wound up using his personal card to run a load for us (front desk was no help), and then we had to air-dry everything back in the room.Attention to detail was lacking: - The turntable in the microwave didn't fit so it didn't actually turn, which says that at some point they had replaced the original one and either didn't check it or didn't care.- The bathroom door was slightly off its hinges making it hard to close, and it only got worse after the maintenance guy tried to fix it.- The shower wall is clear glass, which makes for an awkward situation when you're in the shower and your daughter needs to use the toilet...- They even took away the coffee and hot-water pots after breakfast, so you couldn't grab a cup of tea after a long day of touring unless you had the foresight to pick up some bags and a cup (the mugs provided in the room were tiny) at breakfast to heat up back in the room. And to top it all off, one of the elevators stopped working on our checkout day, right when everyone was trying to go down for breakfast.
