Residence Inn by Marriott Walnut Creek

Very convenient location for riding...

Liked: We picked the Residence because it was an easy walk to the BART station, so we could go into the city and to the airport easily. We drove here from Carmel in a rental car and checked in, putting our luggage in the room, and then we returned the car down the street and walked back to the Residence Inn. After we checked out, we walked to BART and went to SFO.The rooms are spacious, clean, and have a kitchen with a few dishes and utensils. Breakfast was excellent for my gluten free needs - hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, fruit and fruit juice.
Disliked: The door to the bathroom needs to be redesigned - it hits the closet door (if it is open) when it swings out, and hits the vanity when it swings all the way (which it does by itself).

Visiting Walnut Creek from Ireland

Liked: The location suited us, as we wanted to be walking distance to the shopping and restaurants. The hotel was quiet, so we got a good night's sleep. My husband used the pool and the gym. The bedroom was very spacious and comfortable
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like about the Residence Inn, mind you, we would have liked it if the hotel had an evening restaurant.

Disliked: I had to go down 2 floors to find a working ice machine. Double doors to the elevator area wouldn’t stay open so it was difficult maneuvering with luggage.
