Our one night stay was enjoyable. The king size bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and the hotel staff was professional, accommodating and friendly. We had a short walk to the Kimmel Center and enjoyed a late night meal at the excellent Perch Pub. The complimentary breakfast was great. We would definitely stay at the Marriott again.

Liked: Clean rooms; friendly staff; quick room service; located near venues.
Disliked: Needed better directions to the hotel.

I am 60+ so I look for a hotel that I can feel safe in and not to far to my event. I enjoy walking instead of a cab and this hotel filled all my needs - I am coming back in June and again I will use this hotel. Not one thing I would change.

Clean, Walkable, Retreat in Center...

Liked: POV: Former (South and Northeast) Philadelphia resident making a brief visit to town with kids. Very clean, nicely designed, perfectly located hotel with great air conditioner. We arrived back to the hotel and turned on a tv for the first time at midnight. We couldn’t get it to work and called the front desk. They said they would notify maintenance and we fully expected maintenance to come the next morning. Nope. They were there in like fifteen minutes. Same thing happened in the AM when our shower needed a new hose after attempting to use it for the first time. We spoke to maintenance lead Tito while he was replacing the hose. He was friendly. Raymond from valet/parking also provided us with info for the nearest and best lot to park our suv with cargo box on top - it was behind the hotel building and better priced than valet (it was an open parking lot). Kitchen has all the utensils, plates, appliances you may need. The kids also loved this hotel.
Disliked: We got this hotel for a deal just wished the cost of parking would have been advertised better. Breakfast was like an 6 out of 10 (10 = best) but you can walk to Reading Terminal Market in about 5-10minutes.

Good location

Liked: The location was great. The breakfast was decent.
Disliked: When I checked in the person who helped checked me in was very rude and uninformed. I wish I would have gotten her name. I was asking about the valet parking. She said it would be $67 a day. I was waffling back and forth with it. She then proceeded to tell me that all the other garages around the area would be the same at $50-$60 a day. So I said ok. I’ll do one night of valet parking only because it was already almost midnight. She then runs my card for $669. My room was only $395. Thankfully when I travel I move money from account to account just Incase. So when my card came back declined I asked her how much she was charging. That’s when she told me that the valet parking was $67 plus another $100 a day for something else that didn’t make sense plus the $45 and incidental room. I’m not sure where the extra $200 came from. She never explained it to me. Even the website says that valet parking is $67 nothing about extra fees. She was extremely rude when I inquired about the fees. So I told her to take off the valet parking. Bill went back to normal. I just think before you run someone’s card you explain all the fees. Not to mention the garage right behind the hotel has parking for $30 a day. The person who checked out us who I believe was the front desk lead. Was super nice.
