Terrible experience

Liked: I have never even heard of such an unfair hotel, so I cannot share any pros.
Disliked: I made a reservation more than 7 months before planned arrival. I reserved a "One-bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and sofa bed" for a family of 4. Just before arrival the hotel contacted me that they can not provide me with the room I reserved. They offered a "King studio with sofa bed", where the maximum occupancy is 3, so lower than the number of guests. After I stated that I cannot accept this small room, they did not try to find a suitable room in any of the nearby Mariott hotels and they refused to give me any help. I was lucky, I found a suitable room in a nearby Hilton hotel. Since it was a last minute booking, the new room in Hilton was more expensive than the one in Residence Inn, but Residence Inn refused to compensate me for the difference. Finally booking.com compensated me for my loss, but noone will compensate me for the time I lost with this terrible, negligent, unfair and unreliable hotel.
