Liked: The location of the hotel is situated in an area where the noise and crowd are at a lower level compared to most of Manhattan. The subway, and everything else to marvel at is within distance. The hotel is well managed, kept clean, and provided good customer service.
Disliked: I wish that there were more breakfast options like hashbrown, more egg choices not limited to cold boiled and scrambled eggs.

Disappointed by Marriot Bonvoy NY...

Liked: The location, the nice staff and the space of the room
Disliked: No amenities at all in the room incl. no water, breakfast with poor options (mostly carbs and packaged cakes, coffee in paper cups and no other beverage options other than coffee/milk/tea, no fruits and vegetables) and rather unclean tables. I also tried Marriot Marquis 5* in Times Square, also no amenities at all aside from shampoo/conditioner/body soap.

Did not meet expectations

Liked: The team at the reception was friendly, tried to mitigate our frustration and we could move to another room facing the front side next day. More light but much smaller with only half a closet for 3 people.
Disliked: We did not have a good start into our vacation : the front desk asked for extra 50 dollars for one hour earlier check in, although the room was ready. Official check in is at 16:00, we were there at 15:00. After complaining and discussing with the manager, we could check in 15:30 without extra payment. The condition of the room was not well maintained: The sewage in the shower was blocked and the water took at least 10 minutes to drain. The furniture in the kitchen was worn down, the paintings came off on various places and the fridge was really loud. The room faced to the inside courtyard with the fire staircase and platform right in front of the window, very dark and a bit depressing. Compared to the other hotels on our trip the gym lacked a dual pulley and provided only some dumbbells.

Extremely pleasant enjoyable stay.

Liked: Great location away from the hustle and bustle. Close to excellent train network options being able to get onto most lines very easily. Hotels was clean and staff lovely.
Disliked: Waiting for the lifts was a bit of a pain, but a very minor things in the grand scheme of things. Could also. Be more selection for breakfast in warm foods. It rotated round every day now and again and daughter would only eat the waffles, so was hit and miss when it was served, but tbh we didn’t want to hassle and ask, so they very may well of done them.
