Very good

a good hotel but room...

Liked: breakfast was ok but had better at other Marriott hotels like choice of fresh fruit bowls
Disliked: construction work at adjacent location, lack of a kettle for brewing tea, lack of tourist information - a welcome pack would have been nice for tourist unfamiliar with Downtown Montreal,lack of porterage service at check in

Liked: The staff were exceptional. Always helpful and greeting with a smile. The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

Lives up to expectations.

Liked: Perfect location, clean and spacious rooms with all amenities one could ask for.
Disliked: The breakfast had very limited options. The standard of breakfast has gone down over the years. Lifts were slow and one had to wait for them.

Well Located Hotel in Downtown...

Liked: Hotel location is very good being on the edge of downtown. About a five to ten minute walk to St Catherines street as well as Crescent street where there are a number of shops and restaurants. Easy access to the Peel Metro which is about a three minute walk. Museum of Fine Arts is a ten minute walk and had a number of interesting art pieces on display including two Picasso's. Expect to spend about 3 hours at the Museum. Mount Royal is about a 30 minute walk from the hotel, al up hill. The Chalet has a panoramic view of Montreal on the south side of it.
Disliked: Only two if three elevators were working and at times only one. Elevator doors have a tendency to close quicker than anticipate. This is quite annoying when the car has a quite a few people in it or you are moving luggage.

Disliked: Breakfast was chaotic, staffing issues, refill issues and couldn't handle the load as people had to wait in lines for long.
